decolonizing our dreams wholehearted coaching life coaching certification

For the month of April, we’re embarking on a special journey of decolonization, exploring how to reclaim our dreams and reimagine possibility in a world shaped by oppressive systems.

As we navigate this terrain together, I'll share some insights, reflections, and prompts to help you navigate your own path toward liberation and back to yourself.

Decolonizing Our Dreams: A Journey of Healing

Decolonization isn't just a buzzword; it's a deep process of healing and reclaiming what's truly ours.

It's about recognizing the thoughts, beliefs, and ways of being that we've inherited from society and shedding those that no longer serve us. Whether it's white supremacy, capitalism, or patriarchy, these systems shape how we perceive ourselves and our potential.

Reclaiming Our Imagination

Our imaginations have been colonized, and constrained by societal norms and expectations. But reclaiming our dream space is a revolutionary act of liberation.

It's about daring to dream beyond the confines of what we've been told is possible and envisioning a future that defies convention.

In the Wholehearted Life Coaching Certification, we take a holistic approach to goal-setting and self-discovery. Instead of rigid, externally imposed goals, we focus on internal goals that align with our deepest desires and values.

Success isn't defined by external benchmarks but by the client's own definition of fulfillment and joy.

Reflective Prompts: Exploring Your Relationship with Dreams

Take a moment to reflect on your own relationship with dreaming:

  • What does dreaming mean to you?

  • How has your upbringing shaped your approach to dreaming?

  • What fears and limitations hold you back from dreaming freely?

  • What excites you about the prospect of reclaiming your dream space?

Embracing Collective Liberation

I invite you to consider one thing that resonated with you today.

About your host, Shirin Eskandani

Hi, love! I’m Shirin.

Coach, speaker, writer, and life alchemist.

I teach you how to listen to your intuition again, tune out all the BS, and let your heart lead the way.

Because once you strengthen your inner GPS, decisions become easier, boundaries become clearer, and belly laughs become a daily thing.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:

  • I’m a certified life coach (accredited through the International Coach Federation)

  • My husband and I met on Instagram and we live in Brooklyn, NY with our plant babies

  • I have a masters degree in Music and was a professional opera singer for twelve years.  I worked all over the world singing on stage at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera (more on that later…).

  • I believe in the woo just as much as I do the work (internal and external).  No amount of crystals and affirmations will make up for a lack of a healthy mindset and aligned action.

  • I love all the Real Housewives franchises.  Don’t make me choose one… seriously, don’t.
